Tax 税

Tax, tax
Tax tax tax tax

Indirect tax, indirect tax
Consumption tax, increased tax
It's seriously bad (tax*), national tax

Property tax, residential tax
Inheritance tax, income tax
Fame tax - Oi, there's no such thing as that (tax)

Tax tax tax tax, I hate paying tax
Tax tax tax tax, an exemption just for me
Tax tax tax tax, I pay my taxes in sweat
Tax tax tax tax, let's make some noise over the tax system
Tax tax tax tax, how about a tax cut round about now?
Tax tax tax tax, the tax evasion I dream of...
Tax, tax
Tax tax tax tax
Product tax, separation tax assessment
City tax, soaking in sake (tax)
Catching a cold (tax), indirect tax

Won't someone tell me (tax), where the tax goes?
Raising all that money, what do you do with it?
I wish they'd buy me a guitar

Tax tax tax tax, we're not living in luxury (tax)
Tax tax tax tax, heavy taxation puts us in a tough spot
Tax tax tax tax, we don't get much in song royalties
Tax tax tax tax, I want to dodge some taxes
Tax tax tax tax, and busily reduce taxation
Tax tax tax tax, I'm begging you (tax), tax-free

I'm begging you, tax-free. Tax-free, I'm begging you,
Tax-free-ee.....

This is from the 1989 album 'The Timers', by the band of the same name. Album lyrics written almost entirely by Kiyoshiro who used the nom de plume 'Zerry' when working with this band.
*There's a pretty much untranslatable play on words throughout this song: The Japanese word for tax is 'zei', which sounds just like the '-ze!' that you put on the end of phrases in common speech for emphasis. Where Kiyo.. er.. Zerry has put a '-ze!' on the end of a phrase I've put (tax) in brackets, though it doesn't necessarily make grammatical sense. If you don't like it, tax me!
